High flying for the entire family!
Welcome to take a look at the history of the Finnish Airforce, from its birth to the modern age. The basic exhibition displays aircraft from the early 1900s, fighters from World War II, jets from the post-war era and many other types of planes. Take a photo of yourself as a Hornet pilot, take a seat in the cockpit of an airplane or, if you want a taster of what flying really feels like, book an experience package in the Messerschmitt flight simulator (minimum height 150 cm). For smaller visitors, the museum also offers high-flying things to do and read. The café at the museum shop offers cafeteria products and aviation souvenirs.
“A fun attraction with the family. Our children especially enjoyed the visit to the cockpit of an airplane. Opinion of our youngest child: It was nice to push all the buttons in the cockpit. The museum makes history come alive. The stories of individuals were really interesting and made our school children interested in history in a whole new way.”
